I'm a sucker for those little teases you see on social media. I love getting a taste for a book I've never heard of or an author I've never read. Plus, there's just something about the actual act of teasing that's fun. And since in the past week I dealt with revisions on one book, edits on another, as well as filling out art and cover sheets - I'm ready for some fun.
So I'm sharing a few teasers with you today.
“I find myself doing unforgivable things, wishing for impossible things, in order to be with you.”
~ Her Royal Masquerade
So with every ounce of freedom she possessed, the princess of Mezzano held tight to her bodyguard’s soft cotton shirt and drank him in. She let her heart race, her body heat. She let go of all the restrictions and expectations she’d always had to deal with because of her title, and for a moment, a young woman named Angelina simply kissed a man called Rico.
~ Her Royal Bodyguard
He thought of nothing but the sweet way she responded to his touch, the possessiveness that crawled inside him. The primitive instinct to claim her as his.
~ Playing for Real
He wanted her more than he wanted his next breath. He almost reached out and touched her. Almost drew her into his arms. Almost plunged deep inside her so they could both relieve their aching need. The only thing holding him back was his stupid promise to her. It had to be her choice.
~ Silken Canvas
He wanted to touch her again. Really touch her this time. Play with the fringe of hair around her face. Nibble on her pretty little ears. Kiss the bare nape of her neck. He grasped both ends of the pizza box. He was in big trouble.
~ The Ride of Her Life
Two could play that game. Meredith put her hand on his thigh. It was so hot and hard.
~ Voluptuous
I hope you had fun with my little teasers today. And to tease you just a little more...I hope to soon be able to share from my September release from Samhain, The Cottage Next Door :)

How Do You Keep Up With Me?
Voluptuous released a month ago. In the next few weeks, I'm going to be having a couple new releases (Her Royal Romance and the print release of Silken Canvas) and I'm looking at several in 2014. In order to help all my readers keep up with what's going on with Natasha Moore, I've been told I need to rely more on social media. I've had a website for years www.natashamoore.com and I hope readers know they can always stop by there to check on what's available and what's coming up.
I've also decided to start a mailing list, so I can shoot my readers a quick update to remind them when something new is going on. You can sign up for it here. (I promise I will not flood your inbox. This is a new release only mailing list.)
Then there's the social media. I have a Facebook page. If you "like" it, you'll get more frequent updates in your feed, like when my characters are driving me crazy, or when I suddenly decide to give away a few freebies.
I'm on Twitter too. If you'd like to follow me there, aside from updates on releases, you'll find out what coffee I'm drinking and how much I need that glass of wine after a frustrating day and the occasional picture of the little guy.
I've recently jumped on the Pinterest bandwagon. For a long time I thought it would be a time waster (and maybe it is some days) but I've started boards for current projects and those in the planning stages, and agree that the visual inspiration is helpful. And yes, drooling over hot guys and sexy clinches is part of my job. You can check out my boards or follow me there also.
I know there are other places like Tumblr or...I don't know...a lot of others but I have to have some time to write so these are the ones I visit. So now I have a question for our readers. Do you think a presence on social media is important for an author? As a reader, do you check out Facebook, etc. for info on an author or do you just hop over to their website? Do you rely on a newsletter popping into your inbox to remind you when a new book is coming out? How exactly do you keep up with authors and their new releases? Am I wasting my time on Facebook or Twitter? Is there someplace else I should be making my presence known? I want to spend most of my time writing new books, so knowing the best way to spend the rest of my time is important. So please, Fierce Romance readers, let me know.

Coffee, Wine, Chocolate - My Favorite Things
My favorite things - coffee, wine, chocolate. And books, of course, but that's a subject for another - or several more - posts.
My favorite flavor of coffee is hazelnut. I drink it way hotter than my hubby can stand and while I enjoy an ice capp once in a while, I've never acquired a taste for iced coffee. I brew my own half regular/half decaf blend (hazelnut, of course) in my Keurig. Ever since my little heart episode, I hate the feeling of a racing heart, even if I know it's from caffeine.
An excellent coffee shop opened up at the corner of our street and hubby and I try to get over there every couple weeks to enjoy a cup of coffee and a muffin. They offer a shot of just about any flavor you'd like and while there I'll try a different flavor each time. They also roast their own coffee there and the aroma is heavenly.
Wine is another love of mine. I'm certainly no connoisseur, but I know what I like. I'm one of those not-too-dry, not-too-sweet wine snobs. Usually a drink white merlot. It's not quite as sweet as white zinfandel and I think it has a little more flavor. But I have a new favorite wine. Apothic Rose.
And you see that little silver banner at the top of the label? It says "limited release"! Yeah, so my new favorite wine won't be around for long. In fact, over the summer I've managed to buy out my local wine store. Pretty soon I'll be back to the white merlot. And that will be okay.
And what is coffee and wine without chocolate? I could go on and on about the wonderful attributes of chocolate, but I think for our readers it goes without saying. Aside from the creamy texture and mouth-watering taste - can we say antioxidants?? I can say without reservation that I never met a chocolate I didn't like, but the favorite I keep around the house is Hershey's Special Dark.
Again, not too sweet, not too bitter. I'm that kind of girl.
And if we want to throw a book into the mix, can I say my favorite right now is, of course, my newest release, Voluptuous? I've had great feedback from readers who love reading about a plus-sized heroine getting her happy ending and I know I'm going to write some more curvy girl stories. Who knows. Some of them might become your favorites too.
How about you? What's your favorite coffee? Wine? Chocolate?

Voluptuous Pin-Up Girl
vo·lup·tu·ous [vuh-luhp-choo-uhs]
adjective
1. full of, characterized by, or ministering to indulgence in luxury, pleasure, and sensuous enjoyment: a voluptuous life.
2. derived from gratification of the senses: voluptuous pleasure.
3. directed toward or concerned with sensuous enjoyment or sensual pleasure: voluptuous desires.
4. sensuously pleasing or delightful: voluptuous beauty.
From dictionary.com
Is there a better word for full-of-sexiness? I don't think so! My Curve Appeal story from Ellora's Cave is titled Voluptuous and it released last Friday. Meredith is a curvy girl and I had a lot of fun researching plus-sized models and other voluptuous images while I was writing the story. I came across this article and I loved these pictures so much I wanted to share it with our Fierce Romance readers.
America's Forgotten Pin-Up Girl
What do you think? Isn't Hilda one of the best pin-up girls you've ever seen?
Oh, and a little heads-up for our Fierce Romance readers. This Thursday is my birthday and I just may have a little surprise contest over on my Facebook page. If you haven't "liked" my author page yet, you still have time.

Loving Those Curvy Girls
With the release of Voluptuous just a few day away, I've been having lots of fun sharing and promoting quotes and pictures of beautiful, curvaceous women. Sharing far and wide the idea of loving the skin you're in.
I've just jumped on the Pinterest bandwagon and started a Voluptuous board to organize all these great images. And once I got started, I decided it would be a great idea to start a board for each book I'm writing or planning or even thinking about writing. What a great place to keep visual inspiration. I know. I know. I'm late to the party but I'm glad I showed up anyway. Hop over and follow me or a board or two if you like.
Have any of you discovered Jill Neal's Wild (but tasteful) Women? I didn't discover her as I was gathering Voluptuous pics, I found her earlier this year when I was on vacation. I came across some of her mugs in a gift shop and had to buy one! When I got back to my laptop I looked up her website and have bought a few more things from her. This is the mug I bought while we were in the Outer Banks. I have to admit, after buying this and looking at her Wild Women art, I'm no longer self-conscious about my thick thighs!
Voluptuous releases this Friday, September 6th and if you like sexy, heart-warming romances about people like you and me, you might want to give it a try.
Night Owl Reviews said about Voluptuous:
"I was immediately invested in the outcome of this story because I liked the lead couple so much. The light and fun tone of the story was great especially during the very serious moments. The heat between these two fairly blazes off the pages and yet for me it was a deeper connection than just the physical that kept my eyes glued to the pages." 5 Stars and Top Pick!
Be happy in the skin you're in!

5 Stars & a Top Pick for Voluptuous!
Voluptuous, my upcoming novella in the Curve Appeal series from Ellora's Cave, just received a great review from Night Owl Reviews. 5 stars and a TOP PICK. I had such fun writing this story. It was the first story I wrote after I left the day job and for it to get such a great review makes me grin from ear to ear.
The review says in part:
"Natasha Moore knows exactly what a curvy girl wants! And this curvy gal wants more Natasha Moore stories!...The heat between these two fairly blazes off the pages and yet for me it was a deeper connection than just the physical that kept my eyes glued to the pages. I cannot say clearly enough just how much I loved this story. I know it is one that I will be reading over and over again."
You can read the entire review here.
And a little excerpt to tempt you:
Sam couldn’t deny the relief that rushed through him when Evan left. Meredith deserved someone better than that jerk. This was the first time he’d seen her outside of work and he wasn’t going to miss the opportunity. He made his way through the crowd and was glad to see the stool beside her was empty.
“Hey,” he said as he came up beside her. He put his hand lightly on her shoulder and he felt as if he were a teenager copping his first feel. She was soft and warm to his touch.
Meredith eyes widened when she recognized him. “Sam! How are you?”
“Good. Is this seat taken?”
“No.” Her surprise was clear in her voice. “Be my guest.”
His inner teen was still present as he brushed up against her thigh when he took the stool. She didn’t shift away, which he took as a really good sign. But she did look over his shoulder toward the door, still looking for her date.
“I’m glad I saw you.” He should probably tell her about Evan, maybe even make up a lame excuse so she didn’t keep looking for him. But he couldn’t do it. He didn’t even want her to know he was aware she was waiting for Evan. Or that he even knew Evan. So Sam said the first thing that came to his mind. “I’m supposed to meet a blind date, but she hasn’t shown up yet. I saw you sitting here and thought, why drink alone?”
She toyed with the stem of her martini glass. “Is this the hot place for blind dates or something? I’m supposed to meet someone too. And he hasn’t shown up either.”
“Maybe there’s a black hole for blind dates somewhere in the building,” Sam said wryly. “Sucks bad matches out into the ozone.”
Meredith laughed. He’d always loved the sound of her laugh, a little throaty, as if she’d just gotten out of bed. Or maybe that was wishful thinking. Either way, she’d never laughed at one of his jokes before and he liked it.
“Do you think your date was a bad match?” she asked.
His conscience prickled. “Probably. I haven’t had a good blind date yet.” Since he’d never had a blind date at all, it wasn’t technically a lie.
“Me either.” She tossed back the rest of her drink, then turned to look at him. “Why do we do it?”
Her bright- green eyes sucked him in. They looked extra big with the sparkly makeup she had on. “I don’t know. Ever hopeful we’ll find that perfect match, I guess.”
“Yeah, well, I don’t see that happening.” When she shook her head, her shiny hair bounced around her shoulders. Meredith always wore her hair pulled back at work. He loved the way the soft curls framed her pretty face.
“Come on.” He brushed a stubborn curl away from her face and lightly cupped her jaw. “Don’t give up.”
She studied him for a moment, probably confused at the line he’d just crossed. Her tongue darted out to moisten her pink lips and he dropped his hand before he gave into the impulse to brush her sweet lips with his thumb. Or his mouth.
“I’ve had so many bad dates,” she said. “I could tell you horror stories…”
“Me too.” He signaled for the bartender who seemed to be spending all his time with a group of women on the end. “Why don’t you tell me one?”
“One what?”
“Story.” He turned on his stool to see her better and their knees bumped. He shifted so that one of his knees rested between hers. Her eyes widened slightly, but she left her legs parted, her dress riding a little further up her thighs. He swallowed before he could speak. “I bet whatever you come up with, I can beat it.”
“Oh yeah?” She took a deep breath and his eyes were drawn down her chest, to the long shadow between her breasts. “I’ll have to think a moment. I have a vast library of stories to choose from.”
He chuckled. The bartender finally made his way over. Sam ran a finger lightly over her hand. “Can I buy you a drink?”
“Sure.”
“Another martini, miss?”
She slid her gaze to Sam’s and a small smile lifted her lips. “Please. And make it extra dirty this time.”

Playing for Real - Sooner is Better
Playing for Real - book #5 in my Paolo's Playhouse series continues the story of Paolo and Julianne, the characters who met in Plaything, book #4. Playing for Real takes the loving Dom and the tightly-in-control sub from their first meeting at the Playhouse to finding a way to weave bondage and submission into their lives and falling in love along the way.
Playing for Real was scheduled to release March 18, 2014, but because of an opening in the schedule, the release date has been moved up to February 4, 2014. I know, still a ways away, but sooner is better, right?
AND...I've seen the cover the Samhain art department has designed and it is gorgeous! I can't wait to share!
And while you're waiting for Playing for Real, I'll have two more releases. Voluptuous, a Curve Appeal novella from Ellora's Cave will be released Sept 6th - and is available for pre-order now.
Also, look for Her Royal Masquerade, my first royal category romance, in October.
So you have a couple releases to look forward while you're waiting for Paolo and Julianne to find their happy ending.

8 Months Already??
From time to time, I share pics of my grandson because, really, that's what grandmas do :) He's been growing like crazy and since the last time I shared pics, the little guy can sit up on his own and is now getting around quite well, thank you, using the commando crawl.
Of course, he loves to read.
In fact, he's been known to devour his books.
The other day he was at our house and discovered his reflection in the front of the sound system hubby has plugged into the TV. The little guy had to kiss the baby.
And here's a little smile for all our Fierce Romance readers. Hey from the little guy who will be eight months old tomorrow.

Cover Reveal - Her Royal Masquerade
Last week I shared the blurb for the sexy and emotional category romance I plan to release in October. Today I'm able to share the absolutely perfect cover with you, designed by the talented Lacey Savage. Isn't it beautiful?
Her Royal Masquerade will be the first in the Her Royal Romance series.
Blurb:
Time is running out for Prince Vittorio. His father’s health is failing and he must find a royal bride. Fast. He’s never forgotten his glimpse of a beautiful Scandinavian princess and lures her to his Mediterranean country with an invitation to his father’s birthday ball. He’d planned to propose a marriage agreement as cold as her icy reputation, but then he discovers she's as colorful and warm as a summer sunset. The heat between them flares red-hot and when she allows him to seduce her, Vittorio sees his future unfolding just as he had planned. But what he doesn’t know is that the woman in his bed is not a princess at all.
The last thing schoolteacher Mia Holmberg expects when she masquerades as her royal cousin is to be swept off her feet by a charming prince. The incredible night in Vittorio’s arms is like a fairy tale come true, but she’d never want the life of a real princess, with all its pomp and politics. Knowing they can never have a future together, she slips out of his bed and back to reality, where she belongs. But Vittorio discovers the deception and kidnaps Mia back to his palace, demanding she be his mistress until the real princess appears. Despite her attempts to stay aloof, Mia soon learns there’s more to the prince than arrogance and attitude, but now she’s in danger of falling in love with a man she can never have.
I'll be sure and let you know as soon as it's available.

Just FINISH Something!
It's hard to believe we're halfway through 2013. Reviewing my 2nd quarter goal list, I realized how far short I fell, writing-wise. It's disappointing, but I can attribute it to a few things.
* Some tough comments from my beloved cps meant that I put one project on the back burner while I try to figure out how to make changes. I've started and stopped a few other projects since then, but haven't finished a darn thing.
* Making two long trips during May & June didn't help. I didn't get any writing done during those three weeks and it's been difficult to get back into the writing routine since.
* After my health scare on vacation, I've spent more of my time focused on eating better, exercising more, and relaxing more. This means I didn't write as much as I did during the first quarter, but it was good to try to find a better balance.
All this means I've really had very few new words written in the past three months. That needs to change. Jumping on the Camp Nano bandwagon is the first step. Once I finish this blog post, I have to write at least 1700 words on my new project before I can do anything else. This could only take a couple hours. This could take all day.
I really, really hope it doesn't take all day!
If I make my Nano word count, I'll have one project finished by the end of July. Then I have two novellas to finish after that. And a book that needs to be taken apart and put back together.
Can all that be done in the next quarter? I don't know, but I'm going to try. I need to finish something. One project. Two projects. More projects.
Oh! And speaking of the next quarter, my next release, Voluptuous, will release during the 3rd quarter of 2013. It's available for pre-order now and will release on Sept 6th.
Have a great 3rd quarter! Do you make quarterly (or other) goals?

Oh! And speaking of the next quarter, my next release, Voluptuous, will release during the 3rd quarter of 2013. It's available for pre-order now and will release on Sept 6th.
Have a great 3rd quarter! Do you make quarterly (or other) goals?

Release Dates!
Aside from contracts and covers, release dates are what we look forward to the most. This week I found out release dates for two of my upcoming e-book releases. I already knew the print release date for Silken Canvas this fall, but I'll be happy to give you a reminder today.

First coming up in the schedule is Voluptuous from Ellora's Cave. It's now up on the Coming Soon page on the Ellora's Cave website with a release date of September 6th. I know that day will come up fast because summers fly by, at least here in western NY.

Silken Canvas is available right now as an e-book from Samhain, but it will be out in print this fall. November 5th, to be exact. But it is available for pre-order on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. I think the cover is like a work of art and I can't wait to hold this one in my hand!

My third release will be Playing for Real, book #5 in the Paolo's Playhouse series from Samhain. We'll have to wait a little longer for this one. The release date is March 18, 2014. That means we'll have to go through another winter before Playing for Real comes out! But it'll get here eventually and the wait, I'm sure, will be worth it. It will probably be a while before I have a cover, but I'll share it here as soon as I can.
When you read this, I hope to be on the road, heading for a vacation in the Outer Banks. But even though I'll be curling my toes in the sand, that doesn't mean I won't be getting some writing done. The story I'm working on now takes place in a spot very similar to where we will be staying, so I'll be getting some research done as well. Looking forward to getting inspired by those parasailors and kiteboarders:) Hope to be sharing some pictures in a couple weeks.

Getting Ready to Go
Spring is finally here. In addition to the beautiful weather we've been having lately (don't be jealous, we had terrible weather so far in 2013) and the lovely trees blooming, and my swing once more on the back porch and a new laptop with a matte screen so I can write outside, we're getting ready for a trip to the Outer Banks.
I love to visit the Outer Banks. We used to go every May, but the last few years life has been too busy with other things. We hope to be leaving in about a week (another great thing about being retired from the day job is that if we play it by ear, it doesn't matter. I'm bringing my work with me, so we don't have to be back at a certain time.)
We brought our trailer from the campground where it is usually parked to our driveway, so my hubby can do all the maintenance things he needs to do before we take it on the road, and I can get it stocked with everything we'll need.

So I may be on the road next Monday. Guess that means I better schedule a post now, so I don't have to worry about it. After that, look for tales of my travels and some pictures of dunes and ocean waves. Can't wait to curl my toes in the sand.

Voluptuous - Cover Reveal
I'm thrilled to be able to share the cover for my upcoming release from Ellora's Cave, Voluptuous. This novella will be part of their Curve Appeal series, all the stories will be featuring plus-size heroines.
.JPG)
Today I'll share a rough blurb to give you all an idea of what the story is about. I'll be sharing the official blurb and release date once they become available.
Blurb:
For plus-sized Meredith Larkin, one-night stands are all she expects. After being stood up by another blind date, she hooks up with sexy coworker Sam Burrows at the local bar. She’s drooled over Sam for months, but getting to know him better in a back booth makes her wish guys like him wanted to stick around with a girl like her.
Sam’s been attracted to Meredith’s lush curves, bright-green eyes and throaty laugh ever since he met her. Sharing drinks, bad date stories and sexy innuendos make him like her even more. But her lousy one-night stands have convinced her she’s not worth a second glance. Spankings and a little bondage just might help convince the voluptuous Meredith that not only can they share adventurous sex and pizza at midnight, but a future together as well.
I had a lot of fun writing this story. It was one of those that just seemed to flow from my fingers to the keyboard to the screen. Man, I wish they all came that easily.

Getting Bigger by the Day
There were several things I could have posted about today. It's April 1st, so I could have talked about April Fool's Day, but I've never been a fan of practical jokes, so I didn't want to go there. I could complain about waking up this morning and seeing more snow coming down, but I've gotten tired of complaining about the weather. And I think I'm coming down with a cold, so I could rant about making it through the entire winter without getting a cold, and then getting the sniffles and raspy throat in April. But I'd just as soon try to put that out of my mind.
Instead, I decided to post some new pictures of the little guy. Who is getting bigger by the day. He's four months old now and a happy, healthy little boy.

I babysat for him the other day and sent his mommy this picture.

He wasn't exactly thrilled to be woken up to get his picture taken with the Easter Bunny.

But he sure does love his Elmo!

Have a great April. Hopefully soon I will no longer want to rant about the weather or spring colds. But expect new pictures from time to time. Grandma can't resist.

Good News - Voluptuous to be Released in 2013
I'm thrilled to share the news that I will be having a new release later this year with Ellora's Cave. It's hard to believe it's been four years - FOUR YEARS - since my last book with them. When life and the day job got a little crazy, something had to give and I just wasn't able to write as much as I would have liked. But I wrote this fun novella with a co-workers - to - lovers theme in just a few weeks right after I left the day job.
Ellora's Cave often puts out calls for stories with certain themes. Later this year they will be releasing their Curve Appeal series - all the stories will feature plus-size heroines. My novella, Voluptuous, was accepted to be part of the series:
For plus-sized Meredith Larkin, one-night stands are all she expects. But co-worker, Sam Burrows, wants to convince this voluptuous beauty that she deserves more and he’s the guy who'll give it to her.
I can't wait to share the blurb, cover and release date. I can tell you that I think Sam is one of my favorite heroes ever. And he's a little different than most of my erotic romance heroes. He's a nice guy. But that doesn't mean there isn't some hot and adventurous sex in this story. He's just what Meredith needs. She just finds it a little hard to believe.
I'll share more information on Voluptuous as soon as I can.
