I’m
self-publishing a new, slightly-futuristic erotic romance series called The Tau
Cetus Chronicles, in which police agents and Beautiful Dolls sex robots are
primary characters. The first book in the series is titled Programmed To Please.
Here’s
the premise:
Tau Cetus police
agent Jai Turner is being sent undercover as a Beautiful Dolls sex robot in
order to bring down the planet’s most notorious arms dealer, Marque Callex. The
police have never been able to get close to Callex, and Jai’s assignment is to
use the famous Beautiful Dolls sex techniques to satisfy Marque, and to coax
information out of him on his illicit weapons dealings – information that will
lead to his conviction.
Notoriously
reclusive arms dealer Marque Callex only accepted an invitation from Beautiful
Dolls because with his deadly line of work – and the dangerous secrets he’s
keeping – he can’t afford to let a real woman into his life. But neither Jai
nor Marque are what they seem, and their week together has consequences neither
expect.
Book
two in the series is titled Programmed To Protect, and features
Jai’s partner, Leith Wyatt. It will be available hopefully in late January, and
was inspired by a fan who read Programmed To Please and begged for
a sequel telling Leith’s story! Since he’s such a noble character, I was
thrilled to give him a happily-ever-after of his own, even if it does come with
a very unique twist.
There
will definitely be a third installment in the series, and who knows? If the books
do well, I may decide to stay in my Tau Cetus world for a while – there are
certainly enough interesting characters there! That’s the beauty of
self-publishing… I can get instant feedback on whether readers are
buying/enjoying the series, and, depending on the response, I can either continue
to write about this alien world that's much like our own, or move on to my next idea.
Self-publishing
has exploded in the last few years. It gives authors complete control over
their work, and allows both first-time and traditionally published writers to
give free rein to their creativity, and hopefully find readers who’ll love
their stories. As with any book, though, you have to give a self-pubbed title the
best foundation you can – a great cover and hopefully a good storyline.
What
