Mia Varano sets us ablaze with Aphrodite's Fire

Hi, everyone, today I'm interviewing our very own Fierce author, Mia Varano about her latest hot release from Red Sage.

Nicole: Welcome Mia! Please tell us about Aphrodite's Fire.

Mia: When Rafe Kincaid, the man who broke her heart, asks bounty hunter, Cassie Cartwright, to help him reel in a date rapist who jumped bail, she reluctantly agrees. But she begins to regret her decision when their assignment lands them in the middle of a decadent house party. The danger increases when a powerful drug strips Cassie of her inhibitions. Is her love for Rafe strong enough to break the drug’s insidious control over her desires, or will she succumb to its dangerous call to passion?

Nicole: Hot cover! The goatee and tattoo look really sexy on this guy! Not to mention the muscles and the way he holds a gun. ;-)What inspired you to write this story?

Mia: This story began with a title, and it originally wasn't Aphrodite's Fire. The title that came to me was "Packin' Heat." From there I began with a couple of bounty hunters, and then I had to add some conflict, mix in a little hot sex, and then the title changed to Aphrodite's Fire. I've started writing a sequel--Aphrodite's Revenge. I love writing romantic suspense. The romance is always heightened by the danger.

Nicole: Absolutely! I love danger in a story. What is your favorite thing about this story?

Mia: My favorite aspect of the story is the decadent house party. That situation is just ripe for opportunity when you're writing an erotic romance. It's funny, I picked up a book with a story featuring a decadent house party several months after I wrote Aphrodite's Fire. The possibilities are endless.

Nicole: That's true. Sounds like a sizzling hot story! What was the most important thing you learned (the thing that made all the difference) just before you made your first sale?

Mia: Perseverance. If you want to sell, you have to keep writing. Don't worry about those books under the bed. We all have them, and they're important to our development as writers.

Nicole: Excellent advice! Everyone, this is a short interview because I want you to have time to go read this fantastic EXCERPT guaranteed to make you want to read this story.

In addition, Mia is going to give away one copy of her ebook, Aphrodite's Fire, to a lucky commenter! Mia, would you like to ask readers a question?

Mia: In Aphrodite's Fire, Cassie can't squelch her attraction to Rafe, even though she believes he double-crossed her. Have you ever had a "bad boy" in your life you just couldn't refuse?

Nicole: Ooo a bad boy question. Nice! Thanks for letting me interview you, Mia!
