I'm excited about 2013. Unlike prior years, 2012 wasn't one I was ready to kick out the door. 2012 was a decent year that had its struggles, of course, but was much better than 2011 and 2010. Those were two awful years that included separation, learning to live on my own as a single mother, back surgery and a recovery that was long and painful.
In regards to the separation, it will be three years on March 1st and I've come a long way in learning how to juggle finances and time. I've become somewhat of a master at it. LOL.
As for the back, I've learned to accept. This was the longest process filled with bitterness and anger. But in 2012, I learned it was okay to say, "I can't do that anymore," and just be happy I'm walking on my own two feet and I no longer beat myself up for my limitations. I ask for help instead of doing it myself. It's okay to ask for help. I don't have to do it all on my own. <----that a="a" br="br" coming="coming" from="from" huge="huge" is="is" me.="me." statement="statement">----that>
So 2012 was a growth year for me, including my writing career.
I didn't have one release in 2012, but I did land the biggest contract of my career that has paved the way to a very hopeful future. Now we enter 2013, and I'm looking at having at least four books come out this year, maybe five, depending on the release date of my second MMA book. I won't lie, there is a part of me that is so very nervous about this. I feel out of practice with the release stuff.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to 2013 and what it will bring. I hope each and every one of you have a wonderful year to come!!
Abby
