Every Time a Bell Rings...

Merry Christmas, everyone! It's Christmas Eve and I'm headed off to work, but tonight I'll bake Christmas cookies with the kids (which we'll leave for Santa even though my boys are 12 and 13 and don't believe any more - well, maybe a little), and then go to our town's "Candy Cane Lane" to look at Christmas lights and then come home and have hot chocolate with some of those Christmas cookies.

So I'm just going to share the ending of one of my favorite Christmas moves, It's a Wonderful Life. George's Savings & Loan is in trouble because his uncle lost some money. When the word gets out, the whole town rallies and contributes money to George because he's done so much for everyone over the years - he's the "richest man in town" because he has friends and family. Enjoy your friends and family this holiday season and remember, "every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings."

That's one of my favorite Christmas stories. Makes me cry every time. And I love Christmas Story, and Jingle All the Way, and if anyone doesn't believe, just watch Miracle on 34th Street. The postal service is never wrong. LOL Merry Christmas, Carol!

Merry Christmas, Terry. Even though my boys don't believe in Santa any more, every year they ask "Are we going to bake cookies and leave some for Santa?" And every year we do and every year, those cookies mysteriously disappear!

That's cute, Carol. My son, who is going in the AF in Jan for navigator training, said we should not put out the packages so it looks like Santa has come. LOL It's fun being kids at heart at any age! Right now we're having 40 mph blowing snow with 50 mph gusts, so it really feels like Santa could come in his sleigh anytime now. :)
