New Year and a New Outlook

I hope everyone’s enjoying the holiday season and ready to make 2008 the best year possible. While I’m not one who usually makes New Year’s resolutions, this year I’ll make an exception. After a great deal of reflection recently, I’ve discovered many times when I’ve focused on the big picture and failed to fully embrace the smaller everyday elements that add harmony, bliss and excitement to my waking moments. I’ve also realized an amazing inner peace by relaxing the reins and letting life take me on journeys I might not have considered in the past. For 2008 I’m resolving to plan less and allow for more spontaneity in many aspects of my life.

What about you? What are you resolving as we approach the time when 2007 will surrender to 2008?

Season's greetings and steamy readings,

    Hi, Elen!

    Hi, Terry!

In 2007, I believe those downy wings in the blog graphic actually wore lead weights at times. But I'm ready to embark on a New Year and all the adventures its brings. Hope your holidays were merry and bright! Here's to 2008!

    Smiles across the miles,

I'm not usually one for resolutions. Maybe just because I don't like that word. :-) I tend to set a few goals though, if I'm feeling positive about it. So that's what I did today. But before I do that I look back over the past year and make a list of what I've accomplished. That usually puts me in a better frame of mind because often I've achieved more than I realized.
Hope your new year is happy and you achieve all you want!

    Hi, Nicole!

This is the first year I've ever set any type of New Year's resolution. Even so, I won't technically refer to it as a resolution but rather an outlook and steadfast approach. I'm more into setting goals, like you mentioned. Gives me something on which to focus, dedicate time and effort and provides satisfaction even for smaller achievements :)

I'm raising a mug of green tea to you and that 2008 brings your career's and heart's desires!

    Smiles across the miles,

    Shawna
