Under the Kilt Contest

Hi everyone, To celebrate the Nov. 1 release of my new erotic romance novella from Red Sage, Kilted Lover, I'm having an Under the Kilt contest for the next two weeks. I'll chose one winner to receive a copy of my ebook. And one winner to receive a pair of handmade Celtic earrings (silver and peridot) inspired by the amulet in the story. Here's how to enter: In a comment below, tell me what's worn under a kilt. I'll choose two winners at random. :) Further details below.

As you may already know, there are a lot of fun answers to "what's worn under a kilt?" Like: On a good day, lipstick. Or like in the song, The Scotsman, a blue ribbon. Of course, the heroine of Kilted Lover, Leslie, discovers up close and personal what the hero, Scott, wears under his kilt.

Kilted Lover: When kilted caber-tosser Scott MacPherson tosses Leslie Livingston over his shoulder to rescue her from two armed thieves trying to steal her priceless amulet, they are thrust into a deadly but sexy adventure. Though Leslie already has a lukewarm, uninterested boyfriend, her attraction to Scott is white-hot and undeniable. She wants to lick this tall, muscular alpha male all over and explore the depths of eroticism with him. But will he want anything more than one night once the danger is behind them?
Recently, I had an interview posted at Night Owl Romance, including an excerpt from Kilted Lover and one from Beast in a Kilt.

To remind you: Here's how to enter: In a comment below, tell me what's worn under a kilt. I'll choose two winners at random. You have until Nov. 3 to enter. Please either include your email address in your comment or check back on Nov. 3 to see if you won. (Winners will need to respond or contact me within 7 days of the announcement.)
Thanks!
Nicole North

  1. I have a comment that really wants to fly from my mouth. But I fear it's too crude. So I shall say nothing but that the video is full of brave Scotsmen. lol. And my crude comment is contained within my words here (just to amuse myself. I can't enter the contest anyway.)

  2. Now I'm extremely curious, Carly! Which video are you referring to? Email me privately if you must! :)

  3. Oh, this is too much fun!!

I can think of a myriad of answers but that means you will have to brave my comments on a daily basis. Are you up to the, erm, challenge? Bring it on, mayhaps?

This lassie will await your instructions, less the breeze of my Kilted Lover's kilt stop in its sway.

  4. Hi Armenia, Yes, bring them on! You can enter once per day if you like. Since everyone is being so shy about entering, I'm going to change the rules slightly. I'm going to choose the two winners at random instead of those with the most entertaining answers.

  15. Oh hey, all, sorry about the video comment. A couple weeks ago when I did a post about a trip to Austria (in which I did tell you all exactly what is under the kilt!) someone sent me a video titled The Scotsman, in which a bunch of Scotsmen sing the song Nicole mentions and then they all flash the viewer. Very funny. But not PG. I thought she'd included it here. Great answers everyone.

  16. what's worn underneath a kilt?

Why NOTHING obviously! I mean there's a reason kilts were invented...those gusty Scottish winds had to be useful for something :P We lassies need something to keep our mind off the haggis!

    Happy Reading!!!

  17. This is fun, Nicole. Love the comments! The best answer I've seen to what does a man wear under his kilt is "On a good day, lipstick."

  18. Q) What's under your kilt?

A)Looks like the sidewalk, tile, hard wood... flooring.

    A) An air-conditioning vent. I don't even have to look.

    A) How cold are your hands?

    A) How badly do you want to know?

A few weeks ago I was at a birthday party when I got the question. I responded with a typical, smart-ass "You'll have to see for yourself." and in an instant I felt the back of my kilt flip up. I hadn't noticed the women behind me before I opened my mouth. A few weeks later, I was at the pub and a woman came up to me and said "Hey, I think I have a picture of you!" She got out her iPhone and sure enough, she did. Apparently it's been circulating and an unknown percentage of the female (mostly) population of my city are walking around with a picture of my tail on their phones. I'm fine with it, but it was a good lesson on being careful of what you ask for.

For inspiration I checked out some Highland candy...yep, beloved Scottish favorites. So in the spirit of Halloween:

    What's worn under a kilt?

A bag of goodies for a lucky lassie, mayhaps she'll find her favorite Edinburgh rock and sour plooms!!

For me my fovorite is ....
a huge snicker bar with nuts!!

    Happy Halloween!!!

  39. Well - you know how they have those hot handle holders for hot skillets. Well there might be one of those under a kit on a cold winters day. Keeping his "piece" all nice and snuggly.

Just think - it's also a cheep gift you can make for christmas. A decorative "sword" holder.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Armenia, snicker bar. LOL!!!

Tammie, thanks so much for visiting!! Decorative sword holder. Hilarious!!! A piece cozy. LOL!!! I'd like to see one of those.
