Vacation Pics!

Hi, everyone, today I'm sharing some pics from Myrtle Beach, S.C. I took most of these yesterday evening. I really like this first one with the sea oats, the piece of driftwood and the waves in the background.

Do you enjoy beach vacations? Which beach is your favorite?
Thanks for taking a look!

Great pix. I love beaches, coasts and the smell of the sea, but if pressed, I'd have to say my fav so far is Kailua beach on Oahu.

Loved these photos, Vonda. And I'd have to say my favorite beach is Destin. The sand is so white its almost blinding in full sun, and the water is like turquoise. We went there this past June and I still think about that vacation.

Beautiful pics! I love going to the beach :) We usually go to Ocean City, MD. I love Myrtle Beach too and Duck, and the Florida beaches. But I think my favorite beach ever was in the Bahamas. The sand was silky and smooth and the water was this gorgeous transparent teal color.

You picked the right we to be in MB, Vonda. I'm at Myrtle Beach this week, and there's nothing but rain. But hey, it's still the beach, I'm not at work, and I have plenty of time to write. Glad to see what it looks like in the sun, though, so thanks for sharing!

Thanks, Carol! Ooooh I'd love to go to Hawaii!

Renee, thanks! That sounds like an awesome beach. Will definitely put it on my wish list!

Eliza, thanks! Wow I'd love to go to the Bahamas too! There are so many amazing beaches.

Terry, wish you were here! We'd go shopping (since it's cloudy LOL)

McKenna, I'm actually here this week too. LOL Yes there has been some rain. Clouds now. We had some sun Monday so we were on the beach that day. Hope the clouds will clear a bit more.

Lovely pictures, Vonda. Any beach with clear, warm water is good with me!

Lana, thanks! Hope you get to go to the beach soon this summer!

Thanks, Gerri! I'm with you on that! I love almost any beach, even chilly ones like those in Scotland. :)

I especially love the second photo. You have a great idea for photography, Vonda. Beautiful!!

I grew up close to Bodega Bay (where Hitchcock filmed The Birds)and in those days gasoline was so cheap we rode out there every Sunday. Sometimes we just played on the beach but during the season we dug for clams and just got covered in mud. :) Great memories. Still love to go out there and let that salty air blow on my face.

Paisley, thanks! I love that one too. I enjoy noticing great shots and snapping them. Wow that's interesting you used to go to Bodega Bay! I love salt air!

Vanessa, thanks! We're having fun!

I always love your photos, Vonda...and this series sure makes me want to visit South Carolina! As you know, I'm particularly fond of beach vacations--usually tropical, but I'd love to spend a bit more time exploring America's beaches...the ones that are more windswept and eerily romantic (if you know what I mean).

Thanks, Randy! Yes, I know what you mean. I love windswept, romantic beaches too. The Outer Banks definitely has that feeling, especially along the Cape Hatteras National Seashore where it's just nature. No houses for miles. Of course there are plenty of houses and hotels close by in Kill Devil Hills, etc. to rent.
