Sharing My Joy!

My daughter and her husband have been married for nearly five years. And have been struggling with infertility for most of that time. It's been heartbreaking watching them wait month after month, go through tests and procedures, have their hopes raised and then dashed. So many of their friends are having babies, and while they celebrate with their friends...it's been very hard for them.

And as a mom, it's been especially difficult to watch my child go through this, wishing there was something I could do for her. Knowing that all I can do is be there for her, to hold her when she cries and try to boost her spirits. To listen and share her hopes and disappointments.

I just wanted to give you a little background so you will know how truly joyful is was when our daughter asked us on Friday, "Are you ready to be grandparents???" OMG! The second IUI procedure that they thought didn't work?? Surprise! She only took the pregnancy test because she was feeling so lousy she wanted to rule it out before she went to the doctor to see what was wrong. She's so happy and she's feeling like crap! LOL Morning sickness all day long. Poor thing. Doesn't it figure?

So there will be a new baby before Christmas. I think I better increase my Christmas shopping budget. I have a feeling I just might go overboard this year!

That's so exciting!
All she needs is a long labor and your daughter will REALLY have something to hold over her kid's head. (Just kidding! You know me and my smart-ass remarks.)

Seriously, I'll send her some white light and hope she feels better soon. It'll all be worth it!

Thanks, Wild!

LOL Ash! I've already told her she's destined to have a girl who will over-react about EVERYTHING when she's a teenager! Thanks for the white light, both my babies were preemies, so hoping everything progresses normally from this point.

Thanks, Vonda. We're pretty excited :)

That is soooo awesome, Natasha! As someone who also dealt with infertility, I know exactly how your daughter felt during her struggles and the happiness she felt when she finally got that positive pregnancy test. My heart is bursting in happiness for her--and you.
Congrats Nana!

May the continued Blessings of the Lord be upon you and your family! Congrats to finally getting a wonderful new baby to spoil and love. My grandma always use to say spoiling me was one her great loves because at the end of the day or week I would be going home to my mom, (Not sure if she was kidding or not). Congrats Grandma!

Esme! I know your words to my daughter helped her at a time she really needed it. Thank you!!

Criss...I have a feeling she might have meant it just a tiny bit :)
