Did I tell you how much I love Sourcebooks's Art Dept???
The first cover is beautiful--the lush green of Portland, Oregon. Beautiful. But one of the highlights of the book is Mount Hood, which can be seen from a hundred miles away, rising above the world.
We used to go up to Mount Hood when the
snow first fell and "sled" down on a cardboard box left there by previous sledders. Nothing could have been more fun! So here is the new proposed version of Seduced by the Wolf, with a view of Mount Hood in the background and of course, Leidolf in the foreground! :)I love both covers, but the second one gives us a lot more man and wolf, don't you think? :) And of course, Mount Hood is so spectacular in the background. Plus this lake is an important part of the story. :) AND, covers need to look differently so that readers can remember which book they've read. Believe me, I've picked up duplicate books before when I thought I hadn't read it! So though I LOVE the green cover, I think this one with Mount Hood is even more spectacular!
Note, Nicole is on here, center stage! :) If anyone wants to read a future book early for a possible endorsement, just let me know! :)
Okay, off to a half day of work, and have to catch up on my writing. Plus I've been thinking of including my first vampire novel in the newsletter. The only problem is it's a full length novel, and with not being able to upload more than 10,000 characters, it might take forever for everyone to read. So, if anyone who reads this blog, reads the free stories I send in the newsletter, what do you all want me to do?
It's Killing the Bloodlust, and in this story, there are no good vampires. :(.... But it is a romance with a happily ever after. And a twist at the end. :)
Also, Destiny of the Wolf was nominated for the 2009 Paranormal Excellence Awards for Romantic Literature (PEARL)!!! Lots of topnotch big names in the line up, so I felt really honored to be included!
Okay, HAVE to get ready for work! Have a super Saturday!!!
