Eliza Knight presents her Warrior in a Box

Eliza Knight is the author of sizzling historical romance and time travel erotic romance. While not chasing after her little children, she is writing, reading, researching, and living with her own knight in shining armor. She operates a blog site, History Undressed where she discusses the wildly fascinating yet not popularly known facts of history.

Nicole: Welcome, Eliza! I'm so glad you're here! Please tell us about Warrior in a Box.

Eliza: Warrior In A Box is the first story in my Highland Jewel series. The series are erotic romance time travels. Lady In A Box, is releasing on February 6th, and Love In A Box, will release later this year. Warrior is about a sexy Highlander, Donell, who travels back in time only to meet up with our feisty heroine, Lainie, and fall in love. Also its been on The Wild Rose Press Scarlet line bestseller list for 4 weeks! Here's the blurb:

Lainie Shaw, travel writer, work-a-holic, has no time for men. Even if she did, no man could match up to the one in her imagination. A man who makes her blood heat, her body weep and her heart clench with love. Instead, she is almost content drooling over sexy paintings of Highland warriors while working in Inverness, Scotland. An unexpected purchase in the way of an antique box delivers the man of her dreams right at Lainie's feet. Her wildest fantasies are realized when the Highlander shows her up close and personal what he doesn't wear under his kilt. Not only do they click physically, but emotionally, Lainie finds herself falling hard and fast for this sensual, sweep her off her feet, man from the past.

Nicole: Whew! Sounds hot! Congratulations on your bestseller! You've been blessed with sizzling covers on these. Talk about eye candy! :-) Do you have a review you could share with us?

Eliza: "Warrior in a Box is every woman's sexual fantasy come to life! This is a hot, sexy, and satisfying read that will leave you breathless for more. Eliza Knight is definitely an author to watch!"
~Renee Knowles, author of Guilty Pleasures and Going Topless

Nicole: Please tell us about your favorite character in the book.

Eliza: Hmm...well I love them both, but my favorite character is of course, Donell. How can a sexy Highlander not be? Beyond a hot body, he has a great personality. He's funny, caring, and knows how to make a woman feel good.

Nicole: My favorite kind of hero! Which element of story creation is your favorite?

Eliza: Coming up with the characters is definitely my favorite part. They are all so unique, and watching them come to life on the page is amazing. I like to see what they'd do in every situation, and figure out how their minds work. The plot comes in a close second though. Being able to create a story that is interesting and intriguing to readers is really wonderful.

Nicole: Which element of this story was the hardest for you?

Eliza: The hardest element of the story for me was figuring out how I could get these two to stay together. And it wasn't because they didn't want to--it was logistics. But they helped me figure it out, and I am so excited they got their happily ever after. You'll also get to follow these two through the next two stories, which was a lot of fun incorporating them all together.

Nicole: Cool! I love series. Please tell us about Her Captain Returns which releases later this month.

Eliza: Her Captain Returns is a sizzling Regency romance with a little bit of mystery and a lot of relationship conflict. It is also part of a series of mine, titled Men of the Sea. Her Captain Surrenders, will release later this year, and I am just now finishing up Her Captain Dares All. Here's the blurb:

Miss Corinne Claymore, never knew what she was getting into with her innocent flirtations with Captain Ryder Montgomery. Scandal ensues and she finds herself not only married to Ryder but abandoned. After being gone for eight years on a secret mission for the Prince Regent, Ryder returns at hearing the news of his brothers death, making Ryder the Earl of Stafford. His love and passion for Corinne have not waned, but she has changed much. Ryder must woo her back to him, sooth her fears of being abandoned again all while discovering how his brother died and who may be at fault.

Nicole: Sounds wonderful! I'm a big historical romance fan. What's next for you?

Eliza: The list never ends, lol. I am working on two medieval romance novels, part of a three book series. I love writing my books in series, being able to connect my characters and worlds that I create is a lot of fun. I'm also working on a Regency erotic novel, which is--you guessed it, part of a series. I have to admit I've only written one story that wasn't part of a series. Love Will Bloom, is a Regency novella that will also be coming out later this year.

Nicole: Another beautiful cover! Would you like to ask blog readers a question?

Eliza: Yes I would! Actually, I'd like to ask two questions. The first is, what is your favorite element of reading romance? And the second is, do you think that reading romance enhances your own relationships?

Thank you so much for interviewing me Nicole! I had a lot of fun!

Nicole: You're welcome. And thank you for being our guest today! I enjoyed it!

Hi Eliza,
Wow, you are certainly a busy lady. Being an historical writer msyelf, I love this genre. Throw in a hunky Highlander and I am hooked. Ooh, and I always did wonder what a Scotsman wore under his kilt.
I'll have to buy your book to find out.
Regards
Margaret

Hi, Eliza!

Currently my favorite element of reading a romance is the escapism it provides from the harsh reality surrounding us all. It's heartening to see couples overcoming obstacles and doing their utmost to please and remain faithful to each other :)

Romance gives us hope, and that hope can spring eternal in our own romantic relationships :)

Wow, Eliza, I didn't realize you had so many great books coming out. Congrats. They all sound wonderful.

My favorite element is the love that the characters find. It's always so special to watch two people fall in love.

Yes, I think it enhnaces my realtionships. When you feel content and happy, even for make-believe people, it's easy to carry that happiness over into your own realtionships.

Hi Nicole and Eliza,
Great book, Eliza! Tell Donell I'm still waiting for that silver fox. ;-)

Reading romance tends to restore our faith in true love and in a way it gives us back those wonderful feelings of finding the right person.

Today in this fast paced world we need to slow down and remember to take time for love. The simple act of touching, the scent of our lover, the taste of kiss, the soulful journey of gazing deeply into that pair of eyes, and the comforting rhythm of his or her heartbeat is what keeps the romance alive. A little nibble on the ear while whispering an endearment is as ancient as man and is just as effective today.

Sometimes people need to be reminded and romance books are a great way to do that.

Eliza has quite a way with words when she is working. She was one of my favorites when I did the contest for Highlander in a Box. Truely an inspiration. I wish you the best as always.

My favorite element of reading romance is having the two characters meeting each other and falling in love. Love is the biggest factor because we can all relate on one level or another. Its what binds us together. It's encoded into our systems. It's something that transcends death. Love is powerful.
